Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor
Position Description
We are looking for a Licensed Counselor to join our growing group practice providing individual and couples counseling to adolescents and adults on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Position Overview
· Position is office based, offering mostly in-person services as well as telehealth services.
· Schedule would be Monday – Friday during normal business hours. Flexibility in schedule can be discussed.

Responsibilities
· Providing therapy to adolescents and adults using evidenced-based practices to a wide-range of issues including couples therapy.
· Scheduling client follow-up appointments at end of each session.
· Timely documentation in electronic health record of all sessions.
· Maintain strict confidentiality standards for all clients.
· Completing initial assessment and assigning diagnosis utilizing the DSM-5.
· Development of individualized treatment plan.
· Assistance with completion of initial paperwork during first session.
· Strict compliance with ethical billing practices, ACA Code of Ethics and NCBLCMHC Practice Standards.
Requirements
· Independent Licensure or Associate Level in North Carolina – LCMHC or LCMHCA
· Supervision offered for those who are Associate Level.
· Strong work and professional ethics and positive regard for all clients.
· Experience in evidence-based practice and research supported treatment approaches.
· Credentialed with insurance panels a plus but not a requirement.
