A paid internship for a student enrolled in a CACREP Graduate Counseling Program.
Position Overview
• Position is office-based.
Responsibilities
• Completion of intake assessments and assignment of diagnosis for adolescents and adults
via in-person or telehealth sessions.
• Scheduling and provision of follow-up counseling sessions with assigned caseload.
• Timely documentation in electronic health record of all intake assessments and follow-up
sessions.
• Development of individualized treatment plan.
• Maintain strict confidentiality standards for all clients.
• Meet regularly with assigned clinical supervisor.
• Completion of all university requirements and paperwork.

Position Description
A Licensed Counselor to join our growing group practice providing individual and couples counseling to children, adolescents and adults on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
Position Overview
• Position can be office-based offering both in-person and telehealth or will consider home-
based offering telehealth only. May need to come to office for staff meetings on occasion.
• Schedule can include both daytime, evening or Saturday hours. No Sundays.
Responsibilities
• Providing therapy to children, adolescents and adults using evidenced-based practices to a
wide-range of issues including couples therapy.
• Scheduling client follow-up appointments at end of each session.
• Timely documentation in electronic health record of all sessions according to contract.
• Maintain strict confidentiality standards for all clients.
• Completing initial assessment and assigning diagnosis utilizing the DSM-5.
• Development of individualized treatment plan.
• Assistance with completion of initial paperwork during first session.
• Strict compliance with ethical billing practices, ACA Code of Ethics and NCBLCMHC Practice
Standards.
Requirements
• Independent Licensure in North Carolina – LCMHC
• Strong work and professional ethics and positive regard for all clients.
• Experience in evidence-based practice and research supported treatment approaches.
• Credentialed with insurance panels a plus.
